Update: turns out I know the bloke who owns this! And this is not his only Packard. Clearly, despite riding bicycles with someone, you don’t really know them!
It’s still in the shop because there is a failure in the electro-mechanical components of its push button controlled gearbox. Should be sorted soon...
Clean and shiny
Packard at my local mechanic. They’ve also got a drivable, restoration ready Ford Galaxie 500 on the market too...

That’s a good looking Packard, and I’ve always had a soft spot for Galaxie 500. My mom’s first car was a 1961 Galaxie, the first car I ever worked on.......

I thought you guys weren’t allowed to drive LH D cars. Age exemption? It’s beautiful though. That pastel light green and dark blue/black two tone is just gorgeous.

Most states have exemptions for classic/heritage registrations. Such exemptions can even apply to seat belts...or the lack thereof.

Interesting. You could say we have a 25 year exemption for RHD but in reality it isn’t half that purposeful and you could technically sell a RHD car here new if people would buy it.

some states it has to be 25 years old, but in some it has to be 30 years old.
